Dance Tree offers classes with a Christian emphasis to students in private and parochial day schools.  Our graded program is designed with age-appropriate movements and music for children ages 2 through school age.

Our inclusive approach to movement education is designed to provide a broad base upon which to build a healthy lifestyle.

Our Philosophy

Hebrews 10:24 "Let us encourage one another to love and good works."

In everyone's life, there should be a time for dance.


This should be a time of fun and learning, of challenge and accomplishment. 
All Dance Tree classes maintain a low student/teacher ratio in order to provide personalized attention.
Classes are available year round to maintain continuity and maximize physical conditioning.

Dance Tree's unique pre-school & school age programs are available in private schools and daycares throughout Houston and other cities.

Continued Dance Education is available at our affiliated studio at Kennedy Dance Theatre / KDT

Teaching and Licensee opportunities are available throughout the country for energetic and highly motivated dance educators.

Our Director

Psalm 149:3 "Let us praise the Lord with dance."

 Director Mary Lee Kennedy has been an educator for over 35 years - but a dancer all her life. She began her studies at age 4 and continued thru college on a dance scholarship. With a degree in Theatre Education from Louisiana State University, her experience as a movement specialist has included 30+ years owning a performing arts studio, 2 years teaching in public school and 6 years serving as physical education director of a private school.

As President of Dance Tree, Inc., she trains and certifies teachers in "early childhood movement education" for in-house programs in private and parochial day schools as well as directing and teaching at Kennedy Dance Theatre, affiliated studio.

Recital 2011

Recital is the highlight of dance class. 
Because Dance Tree has an extensive network of classes, rehearsal is scheduled in two separate groups, so that our little dancers do not get tired waiting for the big show. 
Our 2011 performance date is to be announced!
